COACH LOBER HONORED NATIONALLY

Bob Lober, the founder and executive director of the Traverse City Junior Golf Association will be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in June, 2009 in Minneapolis. He recently retired as the executive director of the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association (MIGCA) for which he served for twenty years. Lober is a Hall of Fame inductee in the MIGCA, the Michigan High School Coaches Association, and the Traverse City Central Hall of Fame. Lober is the first Michigan golf coach to receive this national honor.

NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The MIGCA Executive Board has chosen Hall of Fame Coach Gregg Kirchen as its new Executive Director. Gregg succeeds Bob Lober, who held the position for the past twenty years. Bob's leadership will be greatly missed. The Board sincerely thanks Bob for his expertise, dedication, and vision throughout his tenure. Gregg officially assumed the Executive Director's role at the MIGCA Spring Clinic, held on May 8-10, at Treetops Resort.
