NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The MIGCA Executive Board has chosen Hall of Fame Coach Gregg Kirchen as its new Executive Director. Gregg succeeds Bob Lober, who held the position for the past twenty years. Bob's leadership will be greatly missed. The Board sincerely thanks Bob for his expertise, dedication, and vision throughout his tenure. Gregg officially assumed the Executive Director's role at the MIGCA Spring Clinic, held on May 8-10, at Treetops Resort.

Congratulations to Coaches

Steve Rodriguez, girls' golf coach at Ann Arbor Pioneer, the 2007 MIGCA National Coach of the Year nominee to the National High School Athletic Coaches Association has been selected a finalist. Steve and his family will attend the NHSACA national meeting in June in Colorado Springs where the winner will be announced.

Leon Braisted III, girls' and boys' golf coach at Birmingham Seaholm was selected 2007 MIGCA Girls' Golf Coach of the Year and was selected as a Sectional Finalist to the National Federation of High School Coaches Association.

Congratulations to Steve and Leon for representing the best of Michigan golf coaches.
