Countdown to our 50th Year Celebration

This summer we are celebrating our 50th year as a coaching organization.  We will be celebrating in Mt. Pleasant on August 4th and 5th.  Our Hall of Fame and Coach of the Year Banquet will be on August 4th at the Comfort Inn Banquet Center at 5pm.  Our Clinic will be at the Pohl Cat GC on Tuesday the 4th and Wednesday the 5th.  Sign up in your Final Forms account and join us to celebrate our Coaches and this association.  Downloadable 2026 MIGCA HOF/COY Banquet and Golf Coaches Clinic Mail-in Registration Form.  In the fall of 1975, coaches Bill Rea (Bloomfield Hills Lahser) and Art Link (West Bloomfield) conceived the idea for a formal golf coaches' organization while playing a tournament at Braeburn Golf Course. Drawing from their experiences with swim and track associations, they formed a leadership team known as the "Founding Five"—including Gary Newcomb, Jim Koresky, and John Fundukian—at a meeting at Ted’s Restaurant.
 

There are many ways to get involved with MIGCA. Attend one of our events, become a member, or run for a position on the Executive Board. We'd love to have you be an active member of the MIGCA in a capacity that works for you.
